01The knife
Smooth One-Hand Deployment on Ball Bearings — The pivot rides on ball bearings, so the blade snaps open with the flipper tab or either thumb stud using one hand. Closed length is about 4.2" and open length about 7.3", with a 3.15" blade that leaves room for all four fingers on the handle. Bearings feel smoother than the washers common at this price, but they want a drop of oil now and then and dislike grit. New to flippers? It is manual, no spring assist — practice a few empty openings first.
Stainless Steel That Holds Up to Daily Chores — A high-carbon stainless blade with solid edge retention and corrosion resistance, so it keeps cutting cardboard, tape and rope without constant resharpening. It arrives sharp enough to use right out of the box, and 1.4116 is easy to touch up on a simple stone. The stonewashed finish hides scratches and fingerprints from daily use.
Liner Lock Engages Firmly With No Blade Play — A liner lock is a spring-steel liner inside the handle that presses against the blade tang; it seats solidly there, so there is no wobble during cutting and no accidental closure mid-task. Push the liner aside with your thumb to close it — no two-hand wrestling.
